Farm

Omania is run as an intensive sheep and beef farm. The ewes are a high producing Coopworth flock and are currently numbered at 1500, including replacements. The beef operation is entirely bulls, and they are farmed to go out into the dairy industry as service bulls. Jersey is the predominant breed, supported by some Friesians and Herefords. The spring months are a busy time with the lambs being born on the hills and the bulls being trucked off the farm to the dairy farms.
The farm is managed on a day to day basis by Tony and one full time staff member. Joanna and the three children are called in during the busy times.
